Job summary

Pep Boys in Saraland, AL is seeking a General Service Technician to perform basic automotive services with a focus on delivering excellent customer experience. Responsibilities include tire maintenance, oil changes, and basic diagnostics while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

You may advise customers on recommended services and repairs. Requirements include a valid driver’s license, 18+ years old, and willingness to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Passion for a career as an automotive technician.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Pre-employment background check required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems (brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical).
• Change engine oil and filter.
• Install and perform tire maintenance and tire repairs.
• Install batteries and check starting/charging systems; headlights and bulbs.
• Repair flat tires; install wiper blades; stock/unload tires.
• Assist fellow technicians and communicate repair needs to management.
