Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack of California is seeking a General Service Technician in California. You will perform basic automotive services, tire maintenance, oil changes, and inspections while delivering strong customer service.

Responsibilities include learning diagnostics, assisting technicians, and maintaining a safe, organized shop. Must be 18+, hold a HS diploma or GED, and be able to work varied shifts. Background check required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Passion for a technician career in automotive.
• Willing to learn and be competitive to succeed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to work days, nights, holidays and weekends as needed.
• Background check required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair basic automotive systems (brakes, suspensions, cooling, electrical).
• Learn new technical information in formal training sessions.
• Perform oil changes and tire maintenance.
• Install and check batteries, headlights, other bulbs.
• Repair flat tires and assist fellow technicians.
• Keep the shop organized, safe, and compliant with policy.
