Job summary

Pep Boys / Mavis Tire in Caldwell, NJ area is seeking full-time General Service Technicians to join our automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers. You will perform essential maintenance and tire services that keep our customers on the road and gain hands-on skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on automotive environment.
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork and quality service.
• Previous automotive experience is a plus, but not required. Paid training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
• Performing flat tire repairs.
• Completing oil and filter changes.
• Checking and topping off vehicle fluids.
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Identifying visible tire and maintenance concerns.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Following established safety and service procedures.
• Helping ensure quality service and timely completion of customer vehicles.
