Job summary

Tire Outlet is a growing automotive repair business delivering tire and oil change services, air conditioning, and general auto care. As a General Service Technician, you’ll perform non-technical repairs, gain training toward ASE certification, and grow with a team of ASE Certified Technicians.

Compensation ranges from $17- $20 per hour depending on experience, with bi-weekly pay, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, benefits, and a path for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Possess valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturday's.

Responsibilities

• Conduct State Safety and Emission inspections following guidelines.
• Perform tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Perform oil changes and basic services as directed by leadership.
• Document vehicle condition using inspection tools and repair orders.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and safety practices.
• Report safety concerns to Shop Foreman or Store Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles in an ethical manner following all company and state guidelines.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services at the direction of the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• While performing basic services, observes general vehicle condition and points out any obvious needed repairs or safety concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager. Utilizes the company’s Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order to properly document the vehicle condition.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop to include the service area, tire racks, showroom and outside the building to maintain a clean and inviting appearance.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
