Job Description

The Lube and Tire Technician at Monro, also called General Service Tech, is an entry-level Automotive Technician position and a great way to start your career at Monro. Starting day 1, you will participate in a comprehensive mechanic training program covering all aspects of your role. As a General Service Technician, you will perform maintenance services on guest vehicles and work as part of a team to deliver 5-star guest experiences, ensuring customer safety and vehicle reliability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the shop in the absence of the Store Manager
• Handle end-of-day paperwork and cash
• Assist the store manager with duties and responsibilities
• Perform mechanic duties such as changing, mounting, and installing tires
• Wheel removal, tire repair, balancing, and patch/plug repairs
• Conduct quick lube services like lubrication and oil changes
• Inspect and rotate tires
• Perform basic automotive maintenance like battery installation
• Receive training on alignments, brake services, and scheduled maintenance

Pay ranges from $16 to $17 per hour based on experience, plus incentives if applicable.
