Job summary

Pep Boys, now part of the Mavis Tire family, is seeking full-time General Service Technicians in the North Charleston, SC area. This role provides paid training, career growth opportunities, and a $800 new hire bonus as part of a competitive benefits package.

You will perform tire mounting and balancing, oil changes, fluid checks, and basic maintenance while upholding safety and quality standards in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on automotive environment.
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality service.
• Previous automotive experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Performing flat tire repairs
• Completing oil and filter changes
• Checking and topping off vehicle fluids
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections
• Identifying visible tire and maintenance concerns
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Following established safety and service procedures
• Helping ensure quality service and timely completion of customer vehicles
