Bay Area Point S is seeking an Automotive General Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, basic repairs, and preventative care across a range of vehicles. You will work with service experts and management to ensure high-quality repairs and excellent customer service.

The role requires knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostic tool proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ASE Certification (Automotive Service Excellence) or equivalent is required.
• 1 - 3 years of related experience
• Extensive knowledge of vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex repair tasks with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions (indoors/outdoors, cold/hot environments).

• Keep accurate records of all repairs, parts, and services performed on vehicles.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in automotive repair.

Job Summary

The Automotive General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, basic repairs, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of vehicles. This role requires a general understanding of vehicle systems and the ability to solve mechanical issues. As a key member of our service team, you will work alongside other technicians, service experts, and management to ensure a high level of customer service and vehicle repair accuracy.
