Bay Area Point S Tire & Auto - Eldersburg is seeking an Automotive General Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance, basic repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of vehicles. You will work with other technicians, service experts, and management to ensure quality service and accurate repairs.

The role requires knowledge of vehicle systems, ASE certification, and strong problem-solving, with opportunities for advancement and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• ASE Certification or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Extensive knowledge of vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, and HVAC).
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and software.
• Strong problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Excellent communication and customer-service orientation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions (indoors/outdoors, cold/hot).

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, diagnostic and repair services on a variety of vehicles, including minor engine diagnostics, and brake systems inspections.
• Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify potential issues or needed repairs.
• Assist senior technicians.
• Ensure repairs and services meet quality standards and safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers to explain repairs, timelines, and potential additional services.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Keep accurate records of all repairs, parts, and services performed on vehicles.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in automotive repair.
