Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company invites applications for an Automotive Fleet Technician in Springfield, MO. This role focuses on servicing fleet and DOT vehicles, performing oil changes, tire services, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance at client sites.

Candidates should have 2 years of DOT-related experience, a valid driver's license, and be prepared to obtain DOT Brake Certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience performing qualified DOT regulated inspections, preventative maintenance, and brake related services.
• Must have DOT Brake Certification, or be willing to obtain within 30 days of hire or we'll help you get it within 30 days.
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet DOT physical requirements, including being at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Service commercial vehicles, delivery vans and DOT vehicles for scheduled preventative maintenance at a client site.
• Perform line technician services such as oil changes and tire services, routine inspections/maintenance, diagnostics, brake repairs and tire installation.
• Execute advanced repairs and state inspections as needed.
• Participate in training for this role, potentially in a customer retail environment before client-site work.

About the Role: What will you do?

Basic Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• ASE Certification (s)
• Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests, electrical, air conditioning, and primary and advanced fuel ignition experience
