Job summary

Gabletek in Flint, MI is seeking an experienced FANUC Robot Programmer to provide onsite production support at an automotive plant on a 6-month contract, with 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities. GM experience strongly preferred.

The role focuses on maintaining lines, troubleshooting faults, editing paths, and coordinating with maintenance and engineering to document changes; familiarity with GM standards is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on FANUC robot programming experience in an automotive production environment.
• GM plant experience strongly preferred, including familiarity with GM standards.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in a live production setting.
• Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs (Preferred).
• GRS Certified (Heavily Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite production support for FANUC robotic cells to keep lines running at rate.
• Troubleshoot and resolve robot faults to minimize downtime.
• Perform path touch-ups, program edits, and optimization as production needs change.
• Support weld, material handling, and dispense applications as needed.
• Work with production, maintenance, and engineering teams and document all program changes.
