Job summary

CAPITAL Ford of Hillsborough is seeking an Automotive Express Technician to join our service team. The role focuses on quick, quality maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, and basic inspections. The ideal candidate brings automotive maintenance experience and strong customer service skills to provide prompt service.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and clear communication with vehicle owners.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, service advisors and staff.
• Prior experience as a technician in quick service or express maintenance is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services: oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
• Conduct basic vehicle inspections to identify potential issues.
• Mount, balance, and rotate tires as needed.
• Inspect tire tread depth and recommend replacements when necessary.
• Replace air filters, cabin air filters, and fuel filters per manufacturer guidelines.
• Test vehicle batteries and replace as necessary.
• Advise customers on brake services and replacements as needed.
• Document all services performed and maintain records.
• Inspect brake systems for wear and tear.
• Use PPE as required.
• Other duties assigned.

The ideal candidate will have a strong vehicle maintenance background and be able to perform quick and accurate services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and basic vehicle inspections. The Automotive Express Technician plays a crucial role in providing prompt and quality service to our customers.

Automotive Express Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
• Conduct basic vehicle inspections to identify any potential issues
• Mount, balance, and rotate tires as needed
• Inspect tire tread depth and recommend replacements when necessary

Automotive Express Technician Requirements:

• Previous experience as a technician, particularly in quick service or express maintenance, is preferred
• Proficient in performing routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes and tire services
• ASE certification or relevant certifications in automotive maintenance is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with vehicle owners
• Ability to work collaboratively with other technicians, service advisors, and support staff
• Ability to identify and address basic automotive issues during inspections
• Valid driver’s license
• Must pass pre-employment background screenings
