Classic Mazda is seeking an Express Service Technician to perform repair and maintenance work in our Central Florida service department. The position offers opportunities to work with state-of-the-art Hunter equipment and a team-based shop environment.

You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles per dealer standards, with a focus on efficiency and quality. A sign-on bonus and long-term compensation options are available through the employer.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Two years of experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice in an automobile dealership or Automotive Technical School.

Responsabilités

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance tasks per dealer and factory standards.
• Inspect and service mechanical systems and components as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain organized work area.
• Assist service advisors with diagnostic and repair notes.

The Express Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. We have the latest Hunter equipment throughout the shop and service areas. We also have all manufacturer tools organized and catalogued for ease of use.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil.
• Inspect fluid levels of steering gear, power steering reservoir, transmission, differential, rear axle housings, and shackles
• Check air pressure of tires
• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
• Inject grease into units, such as springs, universal joints and steering knuckles, using hand or compressed-air powered grease gun when available
• Add water to radiator and battery
• Replace oil and air filters
• Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs needed
• Completes thorough MPI inspection and record findings to service advisor
• Requires walking or standing for an extended period of time
• Other duties assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
• Two years of experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice in an automobile dealership or Automotive Technical School
• Good judgment
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Pass background screening requirement
• Reliable transportation
