Job summary

Holler Nissan Columbia is seeking an Automotive Express Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in our Columbia, South Carolina service department. The role offers a sign-on bonus via immediate contribution to a long-term compensation savings account and opportunities to work with latest equipment and tools.

Responsibilities include oil changes, fluid inspections, tire checks, lubrication, and overall inspection of vehicles to identify additional repairs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Valid drivers license and a good driving record.
• Two years of experience as a technicians helper or apprentice in an automobile dealership or Automotive Technical School.
• Good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil.
• Inspect fluid levels of steering gear, power steering reservoir, transmission, differential, rear axle housings, and shackles.
• Check air pressure of tires.
• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants.
• Inject grease into units, such as springs, universal joints and steering knuckles, using hand or compressed-air powered grease gun when available.
• Add water to radiator and battery.
• Replace oil and air filters.
• Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs needed.
• Completes thorough MPI inspection and record findings to service advisor.
• Requires walking or standing for an extended period of time.

The Express Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. We have the latest Hunter equipment throughout the shop and service areas. We also have all manufacturer tools organized and catalogued for ease of use.

Minimum Qualifications:
