Okoboji Motor Company in Spirit Lake, IA is seeking an Automotive Express Lube Technician to join our growing service team. This role offers paid manufacturer training and opportunities to grow into an Automotive Service Technician position.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Express Lube Technician or similar is a plus, but not required.
• Paid manufacturer training provided.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes according to manufacturer specs.
• Rotate, inspect, and inflate tires; inspect brakes and fluids.
• Replace air and cabin filters; replace wiper blades.
• Maintain repair orders and documentation; keep the shop organized and safe.
• Assist technicians with maintenance tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes according to manufacturer specifications
• Rotate, inspect, and inflate tires
• Perform multi-point vehicle inspections
• Check and top off engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, washer fluid, and other essential fluids
• Replace engine air filters, cabin air filters, and windshield wiper blades
• Inspect brakes, belts, hoses, batteries, and other maintenance items
• Recommend maintenance services based on vehicle inspections
• Maintain accurate repair orders and inspection documentation
• Keep the service department clean, organized, and safe
• Follow all manufacturer and dealership service procedures
• Work efficiently to help maintain a fast, high-quality customer experience
• Assist Service Technicians with additional maintenance and repair tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Express Lube Technician, Quick Lube Technician, Automotive Technician, or Automotive Maintenance Technician is a plus, but not required
• No previous dealership experience required—we provide paid training
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
