Job summary

Cox Automotive, a leading automotive services company, seeks an Estimator II to produce precise reconditioning estimates for consignments at multiple auction locations. You will assess cosmetic and mechanical damage, document repairs, and gain client approval while using Cox’s proprietary tools to ensure consistency and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum: a high school diploma/GED and 3 years of related field experience; or any degree/certification beyond high school and 1 year of experience; or 5 years in a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide estimation services for assigned auction locations, focusing on cosmetic and mechanical repairs.
• Deliver accurate and timely estimates for reconditioning work with proper documentation.
• Collaborate with maintenance, reconditioning, vendor, and operations teams to initiate approved work.
• Work with vendors, parts suppliers, and procurement staff to verify pricing and sourcing.
• Track repair progress and communicate updates with clients and internal teams.
• Maintain detailed records of estimates, approvals, and completed work per policy.
