Job summary

SWJ Technology is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer – End-of-Line Testing for a 3‑month on‑site contract in Charleston, SC. You will analyze EOL data, drive root-cause investigations, and implement corrective actions across engineering, manufacturing, quality and production teams.

Responsibilities include developing dashboards, leading process improvements, and supporting launches with strong data analytics and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, quality, or automotive engineering.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience considered.
• Minimum 3+ years in product development, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or automotive operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze End-of-Line test data including wheel alignment, calibration systems, dynamometer testing, and vehicle validation systems.
• Identify trends, recurring failures, and performance gaps affecting quality and efficiency.
• Conduct root-cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D/5 Whys).
• Perform statistical analysis to evaluate process stability, capability and quality performance.
• Lead corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues and improve FTC/FTT metrics.
• Develop dashboards, reports and presentations for management and operations teams.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Product Development, Quality, Production and Testing teams to resolve issues.
• Validate effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure sustainable improvements.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce rework, scrap and downtime; assist in launch readiness and process audits.
