Job summary

P3 USA in Detroit, MI is seeking a Technical Project Manager for embedded software to lead automotive development programs. You will own scope and timelines, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive delivery across the project lifecycle.

The role requires 3–8 years of embedded software PM experience, strong communication, and familiarity with ASPICE/ISO 26262. A hands-on, proactive leader with an agile mindset will thrive in this fast‑growing environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
3-8 years of experience in technical project management within embedded software development in the automotive industry.
Strong understanding of embedded systems, software architecture, and development processes.
Familiarity with automotive standards (e.g., ASPICE, ISO 26262) is a plus.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).

Responsibilities

Own scope and timeline, manage and coordinate embedded software development projects throughout the lifecycle.
Define technical project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with customer requirements.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including software engineers, hardware engineers, and QA specialists.
Facilitate effective collaboration and knowledge exchange with cross-functional teams to align technical, business, and quality objectives.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
Serve as the primary technical contact between internal development teams, suppliers, and customers.
Drive project planning, monitor project progress, manage backlog prioritization, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and industry norms.
Track KPIs and project status to ensure transparency and timely delivery.
Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and management.
Ensure adherence to agile or hybrid project management methodologies.
Drive continuous improvement in processes and tools for embedded software projects.
