Job summary

Forvia seeks a Software Engineer to contribute to embedded software products and enterprise-class engineering solutions. You will design, develop, and document software for automotive electronics, collaborating with cross-functional teams across software, hardware, and QA groups.

Key tasks include estimating effort, decomposing work items, and mentoring peers as needed. Travel to customer centers and some overseas collaboration may occur, with a focus on high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• +3 years of experience in automotive electronics/software.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and code generation.
• Familiarity with automotive safety and cybersecurity requirements (ISO 26262, ISO 21434).
• Familiarity with In-Vehicle networks (AUTOSAR, CAN, Ethernet) and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, prove, and document embedded software products and solutions; support design.
• Review and provide effort estimates on team tasks.
• Decompose tasks into actionable work items for development periods.
