Job summary

Prince-Technology-Solutions-Inc in Dearborn, MI is seeking an Electronics Engineering Technologist (eTECH) to translate concepts into tangible electronic and mechatronic prototypes for Ford projects. You will contribute from components to full prototype electric drivetrains, shaping early-stage development and validating design choices.

The role requires strong electronics fundamentals, leadership potential, and the ability to manage complex projects end-to-end in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in electrical system design, integration, testing and debugging leveraging hardware and software.
• 3+ years of PCB design experience (Fusion 360 or equivalent) and/or integration and testing.
• 3+ years of experience with automotive electrical systems (display, audio, lighting, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of electronic circuit design, PCB layout and embedded systems.
• Familiar with CAD software such as Rhino, Alias and Catia.
• Familiar with coding languages such as Node JS and C++.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with designers, engineers and fabricators to develop functional electronic and mechatronics prototypes.
• Support design and development of prototype electronic circuits, systems, and components.
• Execute wiring, testing and debugging of electrical systems and subsystems including EMI/EMF mitigation and integration into production hardware/software.
• Design and develop custom PCBs to support various in-vehicle technologies.
• Understand project timelines to ensure successful delivery.
• Develop operating procedures and training materials for handoffs of prototype assets.
• Support demonstrations for senior leadership reviews and events.
• Stay updated with advancements in electronics technology and integrate innovations when appropriate.
