Job Summary
The Electrical Technician is responsible for carrying out routine 12-volt vehicle electrical work, including preparation and fitting of electronic equipment as defined by standards and work orders.
Essential Job Functions
- Run electrical wiring using in-house built and prebuilt wiring harnesses.
- Integrate and install OEM wiring harnesses in Bearcat.
- Prepare and install component assemblies such as switch panels, fuse boards, and relay panels.
- Install exterior electronics such as thermal cameras, 360 camera systems, sirens, etc.
- Install interior electronics such as lights, monitors, radios, etc.
- Perform vehicle OEM 12-volt diagnosis and repair.
- Adhere to existing work practices, procedures, and policies.
- Understand and comply with safety and environmental policies.
- Must own a mechanics tool set in accordance with Lenco standard tool list.

- Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines where appropriate.
- Understand and comply with safety and environmental policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Interaction With
Work with other teams on the shop floor to ensure trucks are built on schedule.
Experience & Education
- Two plus (2+) years in the automotive industry working on mechanical and electrical systems.
- High School Diploma or GED; vocational certification or apprenticeship completion is a plus.
- ASE certification preferred.
- Preferred qualifications include L2, A6-A7, E1-E3, T6-T7; valid driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of 12-volt electrical systems.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, air conditioning, suspension, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to follow procedures, read blueprints, work independently, and use hand tools and measurement tools.
- Strong commitment to health and safety, attention to detail, good communication, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of Ford vehicles is a plus.
Physical Demands
- Must pass a physical exam.
- Ability to lift at least 70 lbs., climb into/out of vehicles, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
- Vision minimum 20/40 with or without correction.
Safety Requirements & Work Environment
Compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations; work in a heated, well-ventilated factory environment with bright lighting and epoxy floors; team environment with company events.
