Automotive Electrical Technician - Spring Hill, Tennessee, Onsite

V2X Professional Services is seeking a skilled Automotive Electrical Technician/Instructor. This role involves diagnosing and repairing electrical wiring to OEM standards, troubleshooting vehicle electrical systems, repairing damaged electrical components, and maintaining electrical repair equipment for an automotive manufacturer. The position also requires the ability to coach, mentor, and instruct training programs. An active U.S. passport is a plus; bilingual Spanish skills are preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site vehicle repair at an OEM vehicle assembly facility during weekdays and/or weekends
  • Install new vehicle wiring systems per OEM standards
  • Repair and troubleshoot immobilizer and alarm systems
  • Diagnose electrical issues and determine appropriate actions
  • Lead on-site repair efforts with estimated repair times
  • Repair or replace faulty wiring, connectors, or electrical systems
  • Service electrical automotive parts
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Complete job reports and related paperwork
  • Instruct and mentor other repair personnel to enhance their understanding of vehicle electrical systems
  • Demonstrate effective diagnostic and repair methods
  • Conduct root cause analysis for vehicle deficiencies
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert interpreting vehicle electrical system architectures and schematics
  • Share lessons learned with site leadership and team members
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of automotive technician experience
  • Strong knowledge of complex automotive electrical systems
  • Advanced diagnostic skills with tools such as Scan Tools, Lab Scopes, DVOMs, etc.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, internet)
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently at a satellite training facility
  • Spanish language proficiency
Preferred Skills and Certifications
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an electrical repair technician
  • Knowledge of modern vehicular electrical systems
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to distinguish subtle color variations
  • Experience with automotive electrical schematics and diagnostics
  • Valid Driver's License
Educational Requirements
  • Associate’s Degree or Certificate in Automotive Technology, Engineering, or related field
