Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Electrical Systems Technician for a prominent automotive service center in Upington, Northern Cape. This hands-on role focuses on diagnosing, repairing and maintaining complex vehicle electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.

The ideal candidate will have experience with diagnostic tools, wiring diagrams and electrical testing equipment, with ASE certifications highly valued.

Competenze

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, with a specialization in electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical theory, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency with diagnostic scan tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical testing equipment.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and electronic systems in vehicles using specialized diagnostic equipment.
• Repair and replace faulty electrical components, including wiring harnesses, alternators, starters, batteries, and sensors.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicle electrical systems, such as testing battery load and checking charging systems.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent automotive repair and service center located in Upington, Northern Cape, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Electrical Systems Technician. This role is critical for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the complex electrical systems found in modern vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive electrical principles, diagnostic tools, and troubleshooting techniques. You will be responsible for ensuring vehicles' electrical components, including lighting, battery systems, ignition systems, and electronic control modules, are functioning optimally. This is a hands‑on position that requires precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and service manuals.
• Familiarity with automotive A/C systems is a plus.
• Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Relevant automotive certifications (e.g., ASE) are highly valued.
