Job summary

Fenix Parts is seeking an Automotive Dismantler in Montgomery, IL to dismantle vehicles and safely extract engines, transmissions, and drivetrain components for high-quality parts supply.

The role emphasizes quality assurance, environmental responsibility, and accurate documentation. A minimum of 1 year automotive mechanic experience and the ability to lift 75 lbs are required; owning basic tools is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on automotive mechanic experience, including removal of engines and drivetrain components.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of automotive parts and their functions.
• Must own and maintain essential mechanical tools.

Responsibilities

• Safe removal of vehicle components: extract engines, transmissions, differentials, driveshafts and related parts.
• Quality assurance: tag and label parts to ensure high standards.
• Testing and evaluation: conduct thorough testing of engines and electrical components.
• Environmental responsibility: manage drainage and storage of fluids.
• Workspace management: maintain a clean, orderly work area and complete documentation.
