LKQ Corporation is seeking motivated individuals to join our Processing Department. You will dismantle vehicles safely and efficiently under supervision, learning tagging and storage of parts, and collaborating with engine dismantlers.
This role requires basic math, attention to safety, and the ability to follow directions. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and some positions may require you to bring your own tools.

Responsible for performing day-to-day activities of the Processing Department following current federal, state/provincial, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing this facility, and as may be directed by the Production Manager to assure that the automobiles are dismantled in a safe, efficient, and proper manner.
$17-$19 hourly
Not responsible for supervising employees.
Education & Experience Background in either body repair, mechanical, or previous dismantling experience. May be required to have own set of tools as needed to carry out duties.
High School Diploma/GED Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Basic computer skills. Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records. Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures. Follows standard procedures with no decision-making involved. Uses guidance/guidelines provided by supervisor/manager. Assignments/priorities provide by supervisor/manager.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods. The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels. Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements). Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
