Job summary

Apple Autos is seeking a highly-driven Diesel Technician to join our team. Our dealership has been rated a Top Minnesota Workplace by the Star Tribune for the last 5 years, with training programs, tuition reimbursement and clear paths for career growth.

As part of our team, you will diagnose and repair diesel vehicles, document repairs, and stay current with evolving technology while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Previous diesel experience as an automotive technician preferred but not required.
• Hold a valid driver's license.
• Team oriented, flexible, high energy and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment.
• Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Work independently and as a team to drive maximum repair efficiency.
• Consistently and concisely detail and document repairs.
• Inspect and maintain shop equipment.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
• Continue ongoing training to stay abreast of the new technology and techniques on the vehicle model lines.
