Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and per dealership standards.
• Work independently and as a team to drive repair efficiency.
• Detail and document repairs to ensure fixes are correct the first time.
• Inspect and maintain shop equipment.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems to specification.
• Explain repairs in non-technical terms to service advisors and customers.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings for repairs.
• Pursue ongoing training to stay current with new tech.

What You’ll Do

• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Work independently and as a team to drive maximum repair efficiency.
• Consistently and concisely detail and document repairs to ensure vehicles are fixed right the first time.
• Inspect and maintain shop equipment.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
• Continue ongoing training to stay abreast of the new technology and techniques on the vehicle model lines.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience as an automotive technician preferred (4 years or more)
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Team oriented, flexible, high energy and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
• Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.
