The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP), based in Jacksonville, Florida, provides maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC). With over 35 years of experience, we plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.

Automotive Diesel Mechanic Jr

Program Summary

We support the USMC through maintenance and logistics services, ensuring operational readiness of military ground vehicles and equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman workers with duties including operator maintenance, wire wheeling, grinding, drilling, masking, stenciling, and maintaining equipment.
• Perform corrosion control on assets, handle and dispose of hazardous materials, and supply equipment, materials, and tools.
• Apply knowledge from previous work assignments and perform other tasks as directed by supervisors.

Basic Qualifications

• Two years of experience and enrollment in or completion of a vocational school.
• Physically capable of wearing a respirator, lifting 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and working at heights or in enclosed spaces.
• Valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License; ability to obtain Tactical Operator License if required.
• Ability to follow safety, quality, and time standards; U.S. citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a CAC and base access.
