Job summary

Mac's Auto Repair and Tire Center in Ashland, VA is seeking an experienced automotive technician with a Virginia State Inspection License. The role requires strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills and a valid driver’s license.

• 3+ years of shop experience with strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Active Virginia State Inspection License (required).

• Ability to safely lift/carry 60+ lbs and possess your own hand tools.
• ASE, UTI, or vocational certifications are a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-level mechanical, electrical, and system diagnostics, alongside official Virginia State Inspections.
• Handle repairs across brakes, heating/AC, exhaust, transmissions, and 4WD systems.
• Work with shop-provided scanners, diagnostic laptops, and top platforms like ALLDATA, Identifix, IATN—just bring your personal tools.
