General Summary:

Under general supervision, responsible for zone maintenance, vehicle receiving & shipping, inventory scanning, vehicle movement (both on and off lot), lot wash/merchandising, taking and uploading photos to carmax.com, as well as providing exceptional customer service.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Execute processes as defined by work instructions and/or standardized work
2. Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities with team
3. Participate in training of new associates with guidance of Inventory Associate II and/or the Manager
4. Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers
5. Ensure daily lot maintenance and security of the display areas and work-in-progress zones
6. Secure and receive vehicles that are shipped to CarMax
7. Prep vehicle and title packets for shipping to other locations
8. Complete scanning of vehicles to ensure accurate product status
9. Complete wash and vacuums for customer returns and loaner vehicles
10. Complete front-lot wash
11. Perform Photo Station process
12. Drive vehicles on and off lot for repairs/storage
13. Provide support to Auctions (if applicable)
14. Responsible for workplace cleanliness and organization in accordance with CarMax 5S standards
15. Complete duties as assigned by Flow Inventory Associate IVs and Managers

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

1. Current driver’s license and meet the CarMax DSEPS standards
2. Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records
3. High School diploma or equivalent work experience preferred
4. Ability to execute processes as defined by work instructions and/or standardized work
5. Complete Inventory Associate Workstation Certifications & Assigned Workday Learnings
6. Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs

1. Indoor and outdoor environments may include working at times in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions
2. Flexible work hours, with shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays
3. Requires walking or standing for extended periods of time in a high-energy, fast-paced working environment
4. Wears CarMax clothing (acquired through the company) at all times working in the store
5. Follow all CarMax, O.S.H.A., and EPA standards, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment, and proper waste disposal in required areas
6. Adhere to all CarMax policies, including Attendance, Asset Protection, Integrity, TAWR, and Standards of Professional Appearance
