Job summary

Vande Hey Brantmeier Automotive Group in Wisconsin is seeking a Car Detailer to thoroughly wash the interior and exterior of vehicles to meet dealership standards. This role may involve hand washing, vacuuming, steaming, deodorizing, and applying protectants to cars, with occasional shop cleaning tasks.

You should be physically able to stand for long periods and follow instructions with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Must have good eye for detail and quality control.
• Excellent customer service mindset and communication.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Understand and follow safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
• Able to stay on feet for extended periods and perform light to moderate physical tasks.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced automotive service environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean vehicle interiors and exteriors to dealership standards.
• Vacuum, hand wash, steam, deodorize, and apply protectants to surfaces.
• Polish and wax as needed to maintain showroom quality.
• Assist with light shop cleaning and organization as needed.
• Provide friendly, professional service to customers and team members.

Founded in 1978, the Vande Hey Brantmeier Automotive Group sells and services new and used Chevrolet, Buick, Chrysler, Dodge, RAM, and Jeep vehicles, and offers a state-of-the-art service centers to better serve Wisconsin drivers. What we pride ourselves most in, though, is our commitment to our customers.

We are searching for a Car Detailer to add to our team.The main duties as a Detailer includes washing the interior and exterior of the car to meet the dealership standards and/or customer’s expectations. It involves tasks that range from a simple/quick clean and vacuum to more intensive cleaning jobs, including hand washing vehicles, steaming and deodorizing interiors, and applying protective agents to cars, polishes, and waxes. On occasion, wemay ask you to help out in cleaning the shop as needed.

To do well in this position, you will need to be physically capable of performing manual labor while standing for the majority of your shifts. You should also havethe ability to do quality work with minimal supervision.

While we would love it if you've had previous experience with detailing cars,we’re happy to train the right person if you don’t!

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening
• Be able to pay attention to detail, capable of following instructions and have positive attitude and ability to provide excellent service
• Able to stand on feet and bend over/up and down during entire shift
• Ability to understand safety requirements and wear proper safety equipment as needed
• Must be able to keep up with a fast paced environment
