Job summary

The Gerald Auto Group is seeking a Full Time Automotive Detailer in the Chicago area. The role focuses on exterior and interior detailing, applying protective treatments, and maintaining cleaning equipment.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of detailing experience, including experience with new cars, and be able to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO after 90 days, vacation, 401k with company match, and maternity

Job description

Full Time Automotive Detailer:

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Detailer to clean and restore the interior and exterior of vehicles.

You must have prior detailer experience and new car dealer experience to be considered.

Exterior Detailing:

Washing, degreasing, using a clay bar to remove contaminants, wet sanding and buffing scratches or defects and polishing the vehicle's paint. Cleaning and the engine compartment, door jambs, wheels, trim, and glass to restore shine.

Interior Detailing:

Vacuuming carpets and upholstery, spot cleaning and shampooing seats, dashboards, door panels, and headliner upholstery. Disinfecting and deodorizing interior odors.

Protective Treatments:

Applying protective agents like ceramic coatings or other sealants to prevent future damage to paint and upholstery.

Tool & Supply Management:

Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, buffers, polishers, or steamers. Securing the inventory of detailing products and tools.

Essential Skills and Requirements:

Attention to detail in cleaning and restoring vehicles.

Ability to perform extended periods standing, bending, and reaching.

Knowledge of using cleaning tools and products.

Punctuality and a good work ethic.

Experience:

Applicants musthave a minimum of 2 years experiencein both interior and exterior detailing.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday 8:00 - 5:00 with an hour lunch break.

Available Benefits include:

Pay range for this position:$20.00-$25.00 (Exact compensation may vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, and education)
