Job summary

California Motor Direct is seeking a Dealership Automotive Detailer in Montclair, CA to detail and prepare vehicles for sale, keeping the lot and showroom visually appealing. You will report to Sales Managers and contribute to customer impressions and sales.

Requirements include a High School diploma and at least 1 year of detailing experience, ability to operate manual/automatic vehicles, and good physical condition. The role offers hourly pay, benefits, and full-time, on-site work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience as an auto detailer or similar role.
• Ability to operate both manual and automatic vehicles.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques for various vehicle surfaces.
• Ability to use detailing equipment such as pressure washers, polishers, and vacuums.
• Good physical condition with ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning, polishing, and waxing of vehicles to a high standard of cleanliness and appearance.
• Remove dirt, grime, and stains from vehicles using a range of cleaning products and equipment.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets and upholstery.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other interior surfaces.
• Apply protective coatings to paint, leather, and other surfaces as required.
• Inspect vehicles for damage or wear and report issues to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Work efficiently to meet daily production targets.
• Adhere to company safety protocols and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping the dealership lot organized, clean, and visually appealing, ensuring all vehicles are properly staged and ready for sale. This position plays a key part in our success, as the appearance and organization of our inventory directly influence customer impressions and sales. You will report directly to the Sales Managers.
