Job summary

Findlay Toyota Spokane is seeking a detailer to perform full interior and exterior cleaning on client vehicles after service. You will wash, dry, vacuum, clean glass, doors, wheels, tires, and ensure vehicles are returned to the client in better condition.

Responsibilities include detailing loaner vehicles, using premium finishes with proper techniques, performing light paint correction, inspecting for damage, maintaining the wash bay, and assisting advisors during peak hours.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in automotive detailing is required.
• Physical duties include standing for extended hours, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license is required; Nevada license within 30 days if out of state license.

• Perform full interior and exterior cleaning on client vehicles after service—wash, dry, vacuum, glass, door jambs, wheels and tires.
• Detail loaner vehicles between uses, including interior sanitizing and exterior wash.
• Use proper products and techniques for premium finishes; avoid swirl marks and wash-induced defects.
• Handle light paint correction and decontamination as needed (bugs, tar, water spots, clay, sealant).
• Inspect each vehicle before return and flag damage or missing parts to advisor or foreman.
• Maintain wash/detail bay and equipment, manage chemical inventory, keep area clean and organized.

Responsibilities

• Perform full interior and exterior cleaning on client vehicles after service — wash, dry, vacuum, glass, door jambs, wheels and tires — so every vehicle is returned to the client in better condition than it arrived
• Detail loaner vehicles between each use, including interior sanitizing, upholstery and leather care, odor removal, and a full exterior wash
• Use correct products and technique on premium finishes: pH-neutral soap, two-bucket wash method, clean microfiber discipline, and no swirl marks or wash‑induced defects on dark paint
• Handle light paint correction and decontamination as needed — bug and tar removal, water spot removal, clay bar, spray sealant or light polish
• Inspect each vehicle before it goes back to the client and immediately flag any damage, missing parts, or incomplete work to the advisor or foreman
• Maintain the wash and detail bay: equipment upkeep, chemical inventory, safe product handling, and a clean, organized work area
• Stage and move vehicles between the service drive, shop, wash bay, lot, and delivery line while keeping keys accounted for and traffic flowing
• Check loaners in and out — verify fuel level, mileage, cleanliness, and current registration before the next client takes it
• Fuel vehicles, air up tires, jump‑start batteries, and perform routine lot upkeep on service and loaner units
• Transport vehicles to and from sublet vendors and other locations as directed
• Keep the service drive, customer parking, and delivery area clean and presentable throughout the day
• Support advisors and technicians with vehicle pulls, paperwork runs, and time‑sensitive requests during peak hours
