Job summary

Goken, headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, seeks an experienced Cost Planning engineer to support cost management across automotive development programs. You will drive VA/VE activities, analyze supplier quotes, and collaborate with design and purchasing to meet cost targets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in automotive systems, with BIW experience preferred. Familiarity with CATIA V5/V6, aPriori, and DFM/DFA is advantageous. Occasional travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 5+ years in automotive systems development, BIW experience preferred.
• Experience leading cost planning and VA/VE activities across platforms and subsystems.
• Ability to analyze supplier quotes and design specifications to meet cost targets.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling tools and manufacturing processes (DFM/DFA).

Responsibilities

• Apply product development experience to support cost planning and cost-down ideas for platform projects.
• Lead cost activities for systems/sub-systems by coordinating between purchasing and design teams; schedule cost verification meetings.
• Analyze supplier quotes and parts specifications to control costs.
• Create and track cost reduction ideas (VA) and ensure implementation.
• Generate cost/investment roll-up reports and support large-scale programs with CAD work as needed.
• Travel to client sites as required.
