Position Summary
Contribute to the growth of the organization across all lines of business through customer engagement, expert product and service knowledge, follow-up, and follow-through at the service desk, on the sales floor, and at the register.
Duties & Responsibilities
- First point of contact for customers on the phone and in-store. Responsible for engaging customers, scheduling appointments, building trust, understanding needs, communicating processes and timelines, and selling parts and services to optimize vehicle performance; adheres to Company Customer Care standards.
- Manage organization and productivity of the service business through work order and register transactions, thorough vehicle inspections, and product knowledge.
- Assist with customer care, work order and register assistance, facility maintenance, and Outside Purchase (OP) ordering under management guidance.
- Follow policies on cash, credit, checks, refunds, and returns. Collaborate with management on customer service issues and business opportunities.
- Participate in routine express automotive services such as tire mounting, balancing, rotations, oil changes, fluid top-offs, lubrications, filter and bulb replacements, battery installation, and vehicle inspections.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures, ensuring services are performed per SOP directives.
- Work with management to maintain a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers, interpreting and applying information appropriately.
- In some locations, may be responsible for opening and closing duties as a secondary key holder.
- Maintain an organized and clean shop environment.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety, and environmental rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver's License.
- At least one year of experience in automotive service environment.
- Sales experience preferred.
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions.
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must frequently lift, carry, and place items up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for long periods, reach overhead and below knees, climb ladders, communicate effectively, operate a computer, and operate a vehicle.
Compensation
The pay range is between $15.50 and $19.80 per hour, plus commissions.
