SpeeDee - A Plus Automotive is seeking an Automotive Service Center Courtesy Technician to support the 17-Point Oil Change process and ensure quality customer experience. You will greet customers, prepare vehicles for service, perform courtesy cleaning, and help verify tire pressures and fluids.

This role emphasizes reliability, attention to safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced shop. No prior experience required, with training and advancement opportunities and a locally owned, growth-focused

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Basic literacy in reading, writing, and math.
• Ability and license to operate motor vehicles.
• Clear verbal communication.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• No previous experience or training required.
• Valid state driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and place seat covers in the vehicle.
• Drive vehicle into bay, prepare vehicle for service – open hood, roll up windows, unlock doors, remove keys.
• Perform Tech Talk service.
• Prepare service documents and affix static stickers.
• Perform courtesy cleaning: vacuum interior, wash exterior windows, clean headlamps and wash mirrors.
• Visually inspect wiper blades.
• Check and adjust tire pressure if necessary.
• Reset oil indicator light, if applicable.
• Start vehicle and check oil pressure drive vehicle out of bay and present to customer.
• Thank customer for their business and invite them to return in 90 days.

Job Summary

During the 17-Point Oil Change, the Automotive Service Center Courtesy Technician is responsible for the tasks that the customer can most readily see, such as vacuuming, cleaning the windows, and setting the tire pressure. Performing these duties with care and professionalism will create a positive impression with the customer. During the 17-Point Oil Change, the Courtesy Technician’s duties and responsibilities include:

• Greet customers and place seat covers in the vehicle
• Drive vehicle into bay, prepare vehicle for service – open hood, roll up windows, unlock doors, remove keys
• Perform Tech Talk service
• Prepare service documents and prepare and affix static stickers

Other Duties and Responsibilities

In addition to the duties listed above, every crew member is responsible for general center maintenance and cleaning duties such as mopping, washing center windows and clearing litter. Crew members must attend crew meetings as required, as well as other duties assigned by a supervisor.

Working Conditions

• Materials and Equipment used: Automotive oils, fluids, and lubricants. Windshield washer fluid, battery electrolyte
• Environment: Frequent exposure to outside weather elements, noise, and vehicle exhaust fumes throughout the entire shift.
• Physical Activities: Position requires good corrected vision, hearing, frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, handling, reaching, and lifting.
