You don’t have to be a master mechanic—if you have automotive knowledge, mechanical ability, and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Automotive parts knowledge and basic mechanical ability.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Automotive repair, maintenance, parts removal, or related hands-on experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn quickly.
• Customer-service skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow procedures.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate company yard vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Remove automotive cores, airbags, and other parts using hand and power tools.
• Pull automotive parts from vehicles for customers via the Customer Part Pulling Program.
• Inspect, clean, and maintain tools and equipment.
• Maintain wheelbarrows and engine hoists used daily by customers.
• Keep batteries and tires stocked; charge batteries and rim tires as needed.
• Assist customers with locating and transporting larger parts to the checkout.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow safety procedures, SOPs, and PPE requirements.
• Meet individual and team productivity goals while upholding company values.

We’re looking for a hands‑on, mechanically inclined Parts Puller/ Automotive Core Technician who knows automotive parts, is comfortable using tools, and enjoys staying active. You don’t have to be a master mechanic—if you have automotive knowledge, mechanical ability, and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do as a Parts Puller/Automotive Core Technician

• Remove automotive cores, air bags, and other designated parts from vehicles using hand and power tools.
• Pull automotive parts from vehicles for customers through our Customer Part Pulling Program.
• Inspect, clean, and perform basic maintenance on your tools and equipment.
• Maintain wheelbarrows and engine hoists, that are used by customers daily.
• Keep retail stocked with batteries and tires. This includes charging batteries and de‑rimming tires.
• Assist customers with locating and transporting larger automotive parts to the check‑out area.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures, SOPs, and PPE requirements.
• Meet individual and team productivity goals while demonstrating our values of Respect, Help, Learn & Grow.

What We’re Looking for in a Parts Puller/Automotive Core Technician

• Automotive parts knowledge and basic mechanical ability.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Automotive repair, maintenance, parts removal, or similar hands‑on experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn quickly.
• Customer‑service skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
• Ability to safely work with limited supervision and follow established procedures.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working outdoors in an industrial automotive environment in varying weather conditions.
• Basic computer/mobile device skills.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate company yard vehicles as required by the position.
• Ability to work the typical Wednesday–Sunday schedule, including occasional overtime and holidays.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
