Job summary

The Herb Chambers Companies in the Boston Metro West area are seeking an Automotive Controller with a strong automotive dealership accounting background. The role oversees the general ledger, financial statements, and works with the GM to drive financial results.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of dealership accounting experience; excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills are required.

• Minimum of 3-years Dealership Controller preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the accounting office personnel along with all aspects of the general ledger and financial statements
• Partner with the General Manager to manage the financial results of the dealership
• Responsible for adherence to dealership policies and internal control structure
• Proactively manage and safeguard company assets
• Actively manage expense structure and vendors
• Strong willingness to adhere to established policies and procedures
• Prepare the daily, weekly, and monthly reports required by the management team
• Work with the management staff of the dealership to review the data and prepare reports as necessary
