Job summary

Toyota of North Canton is seeking an experienced Automotive Controller to lead our accounting team and safeguard financial integrity at a growing family dealership in North Canton, OH.

You will supervise staff, develop policies, analyze statements, budgets, and cash flow, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate with auditors, and drive cost savings through process improvements while supporting strategic planning and timely closings.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of automotive controller experience
• Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise accounting staff to ensure timely and accurate tasks.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
• Monitor compliance with laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Provide financial analysis to support decision-making and planning.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise accounting staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of financial tasks
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional services
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making and strategic planning
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of previous Automotive Controller experience required
• Previous automotive dealership experience required
• Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds Preferred
• Controllers should have strong communications, customer service, leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent analytical ability
• Bachelors Degree Preferred.
