Job summary

LG Electronics Vehicle Components in the United States is seeking a Development Engineer II CONTRACTOR to lead MNO/carrier certification activities for cellular-connected automotive products. You will partner with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and document tests, ensuring performance meets requirements.

This contractor role requires hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and clear communication with carriers and labs.

Qualifications

Knowledge of wireless technologies (LTE, 5G, VoLTE) and certification concepts.
Experience in validation, certification, testing, or related engineering roles.
Ability to analyze technical issues and drive resolution.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, labs, and carriers.
Passion for technology and delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform MNO certification testing and validation for cellular-connected automotive products.
Prepare test plans, execute test cases, and document results for carrier certification.
Investigate network, modem, software, and system issues identified during testing and support root cause analysis.
Collaborate with development teams, labs, and carriers to resolve certification-related issues.
Monitor milestones and provide regular status updates on testing progress and issue resolution.
Ensure certification deliverables are completed on schedule and in compliance.
Maintain technical documentation and issue tracking records.
Support product launch readiness activities related to carrier and connectivity certifications.
