Job summary

Managed Programs, a global product development and manufacturing company, seeks a Product Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI to design and develop automotive composite products. You will integrate materials, methods, and tools to bring new products to market.

You will lead cross-functional teams, create BOMs and process routings in Plex ERP, and drive PPAP activities from concept to launch. This role emphasizes collaboration with suppliers and manufacturing to ensure successful product introductions.

Qualifications

• Experience in creating DFMEA and DVP&R documents.
• Strong project planning and cross-functional leadership across engineering and manufacturing.
• Experience with PPAP activities and customer approvals.
• Ability to manage BOMs and process routings in ERP.
• Proven capability to draft RFQ documents and lead supplier selection.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute project plans to meet program deadlines and customer requirements.
• Create and maintain DFMEA and DVP&R as part of product development.
• Lead engineering technicians, external labs, and CAE engineers to complete DV and PV tests.
• Create and maintain BOMs and process routings in Plex ERP.
• Assist PPAP activities and obtain customer PPAP approvals.
• Draft RFQ documents and lead component selection, supplier communications, and purchasing coordination.
• Support prototype and production builds and provide design-signoff input.
