Job summary

Premier Inn Hotels LLC's client in Dearborn, MI is seeking an Automation Test Lab Support Engineer to support and troubleshoot hardware and software used for automotive cockpit systems validation in a test lab environment.

The role centers on maintaining lab readiness and providing hands-on technical support for validation activities involving infotainment systems, instrument clusters, HUDs, and other cockpit electronics.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting and troubleshooting hardware and software in a test lab environment.
• Experience with automotive systems validation is highly preferred.
• Understanding of automotive cockpit systems and validation environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work hands-on with hardware and software components.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering and validation teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for automotive test lab hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot issues affecting lab equipment and validation environments.
• Support validation activities for automotive cockpit systems.
• Assist with testing of infotainment systems, Head-Up Displays (HUD), and other cockpit electronic systems.
• Diagnose hardware and software issues and work toward timely resolution.
• Maintain test lab equipment and ensure systems are available for validation activities.
• Support engineers and validation teams with lab setup and troubleshooting.
• Investigate recurring lab issues and assist with root cause identification.
• Document issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and validation teams to maintain a reliable test environment.
