Main Street Auto in Missouri is seeking a skilled B Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of mechanical and electrical systems in our busy shop. You will use diagnostic equipment, read manuals, and collaborate with teammates to ensure safe, efficient service.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent; automotive tech training preferred; valid driver's license. State inspection cert is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational automotive training preferred.
• Proven experience as a technician, mechanic, or similar role.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools for mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, vehicle components, and repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Effective communication skills to interact with team members and clients.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• State inspection certified is a plus!

Responsabilités

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment, vehicles, or machinery to identify potential issues and ensure proper functioning.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical problems and develop effective solutions.
• Perform repairs, replacements, and adjustments on mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot complex issues and recommend repairs.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate repair schedules and maintain efficient workflow.
• Document all repairs, maintenance procedures, and parts used accurately.
• Adhere to safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Stay updated with industry trends to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing clients' concerns and inquiries professionally.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and tools.
