Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Assistant and Service Managers to join Team Mavis at one or more automotive service and tire centers in the Hicksville, NY area.

As a future leader, you will support the Store Manager to ensure operations run safely and efficiently, supervise technicians, and drive customer satisfaction through high-quality repair and service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive parts and/or tire sales, and/or automotive repairs/maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager to run day-to-day store operations efficiently and safely.
• Schedule mechanics/technicians, manage outside orders, and ensure timely completion of jobs.
• Direct workflow of technicians and ensure high-quality vehicle repair and maintenance.

We’re looking for full-time Automotive Assistant and Service Managers to join Team Mavis at one or more of our state-of-the-art automotive service and retail tire sales centers in the Hicksville, NY area. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.

As a future leader of Mavis, the Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager to ensure each Mavis retail location operates efficiently, safely and effectively. Using fundamental leadership skills, Assistant Managers are responsible for enforcing established policies, procedures and standards, scheduling mechanics/technicians’ work, managing outside orders, ensuring the quality and timely completion of jobs, meeting customer expectations, and protecting the safety of team members.

The Service Manager is responsible for assisting customers with tire selections and recommending necessary under-car repair services. To ensure complete customer satisfaction, Service Managers must deliver timely high-quality vehicle repair and maintenance, direct the workflow of Mechanics, Alignment Technicians and Tire Technicians, and stage vehicle repair/maintenance work. While driving the sales initiatives of Mavis, Service Managers communicate directly with customers, assess needs, provide information regarding required repairs and maintenance, and strive to meet customer expectations.
