Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices in Oneonta, AL is seeking a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician to join Team Mavis. You will use modern equipment to align tires, measure caster, camber, toe, and thrust angles, and ensure safe, straight travel for customers.

Qualification focus includes at least 1 year of tire experience, US work authorization, ability to lift over 50 pounds, and a willingness to complete state inspections. We offer competitive weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or equivalent.
• Preferred to have a state inspection license.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and lift items weighing over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Use the latest equipment to align tires and wheels and adjust caster, camber, toe and thrust angles to ensure straight travel.
• Complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs as needed.
• Perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

• be at least 18 years of age
• be legally authorized to work in the United States
• possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
• it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license
• required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair; must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds
