POSITION SUMMARY

As an Automotive Service Technician for Big O Tires, you will perform service and installation activities associated with store products and services in an accurate and timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Provide fast and friendly customer service
  2. Promote sales through explaining benefits of service and products to customers
  3. Maintain timely and professional communication with management, employees, vendors and customers
  4. Keep supervisor informed of any maintenance problems and/or any issues that need attention
  5. Safely operate customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions
  6. Maintain a clean environment, tools and equipment, using company guidelines
  7. Extensive experience in Brakes, Suspensions & Wheel Alignments
  8. Must have experience in engine diagnostics/electrical diagnostics.
  9. Will need experience in Air Conditioning recharging & AC parts replacement.
  10. Will be expected to perform various Owners Manual Maintenance items (coolant flushes, Power Steering flushes, Fuel Injection cleaning, transmission flushes and some differential flushes).
  11. Drain oil and change oil filter; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate and balance tires and properly torque wheels; check and fill various fluids; check and replace various filters and lights
  12. Know and adhere to company policies and procedures
  13. Utilize and perform all duties on the company checklists to meet consistent adherence to policies, procedures and expectations

Salary Range: $50,000 - $80,000 Annually (Depending on Experience) + Benefits

QUALIFICATIONS
  1. ASE Certification
  2. Minimum 2 years experience being a full-time mechanic with references.
  3. Availability to work Saturdays, and after regular business hours as needed
  4. Reliable transportation to work
  5. Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
  6. Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
  7. Capability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  8. Willingness to work with hazardous materials and in outdoor weather conditions
  9. Complies with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations
  10. Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to ten hours per shift
  11. Ability to move and lift up to 75 pounds
  12. Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check
