Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field with at least one semester completed.
- Minimum GPA 3.0.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong programming skills, preferably Python and software development best practices.
- Hands-on interest or experience with generative AI, ML, AI agents, or AI-enabled development.
- Experience with APIs, automation frameworks, or software integrations.
Responsibilities
- Develop AI-powered tools and workflows to support engineering and product development for braking and steering systems.
- Identify high-value opportunities to apply AI, ML, automation, and AI-enabled workflows within existing processes.
- Prototype and evaluate AI concepts; mature successful concepts into reliable tools for engineering teams.
- Apply AI to embedded software development activities (code generation, analysis, debugging support, tests, requirements, docs).
- Develop AI-enabled solutions for engineering analysis and data interpretation.
- Build workflows combining AI models with engineering tools, data sources, scripts, APIs, and internal systems.
- Explore AI agents to automate multi-step engineering tasks and boost productivity.
- Support retrieval-augmented generation and knowledge assistants for engineers to access technical information.
- Evaluate accuracy and limitations of AI outputs in engineering applications.
- Research emerging AI technologies and their applicability to automotive engineering.
- Document solutions, architecture, lessons learned, and best practices for broader adoption.
- Take ownership of AI projects from problem definition to deployment.
- Improve data accessibility by aggregating, structuring, storing, and exposing data for analysis.
