Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking an Automotive ADAS Technician in Portland, OR to handle customer interactions, vehicle testing and repairs, and invoicing. This role involves ADAS calibrations, diagnostics, and collaboration with team members to schedule and complete jobs.

The position emphasizes adherence to shop processes, inventory control, and maintaining equipment while providing excellent service and support to the team and customers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of automotive/electronic technician experience.
• Knowledge of OE scan tools.
• Knowledge of wiring repair procedures.
• Ability to service A/C systems.
• Diagnostic skills in automotive repair.
• Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, etc.).
• Willing to update knowledge through training.

Responsibilities

• Determines testing and analysis by communicating with shop representatives and reviews all estimates for repair.
• Performs diagnostic testing, programming, ADAS calibrations and analysis.
• Performs wiring repairs.
• Advises shop of needed repairs.
• Keeps inventory of stock, communicates with support staff for needed orders and verifying order receipts.
• Writes, prints and emails service invoices.
• Collects signature or payment for work performed.
• Delivers completed invoices and payments to office in orderly manner.
• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshoots breakdowns; maintains supplies; performs preventative maintenance; advises management of repairs; keeps Google Drive up to date.
• Collaborates with teammates according to PPT guidelines to schedule/complete jobs.
• Other duties, as assigned
