Job description

Mercedes-Benz of Fredericksburg is looking for an Automotive Acquisition Specialist. This is a Hybrid position!

The Acquisition Specialist In-Store and at-home Associate will be focused and specifically trained to acquire additional inventory for our dealerships by actively prospecting both outside and within our customer network. The Acquisition Specialist will utilize all available prospecting resources to identify and engage private parties looking to sell their vehicles. Resources include third-party websites, lead sources, service drive traffic, and other means. This role involves consistent interaction with customers throughout the day, both in person and over the phone. The primary contact targets are prospects with vehicles listed online, walk-ins, and customers in the service lane.

Responsibilities
  1. Review vehicle condition reports.
  2. Inspect and accept vehicles arriving onsite.
  3. Create and execute reconditioning plans to prepare vehicles for sale.
  4. Develop skills to make offers and close sales.
  5. Drive incremental business through high engagement with customers.
  6. Turn prospective sellers over to the sales team for further sales opportunities.
  7. Collaborate with management to identify current inventory needs.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Extremely self-motivated.
  • Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
  • Ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Strong communication, prospecting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization and follow-up skills.

  • Valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
