Job summary

Main Street Auto in Georgia is seeking a skilled General Tire and Lube Technician to join our team. You will perform tire rotations, oil changes, inspections, and wheel alignments with precision in a fast-paced shop.

We offer industry-leading pay starting at $16/hr plus commission, comprehensive medical/dental/vision benefits, paid vacation, and ongoing training. Must be 18+, HS diploma, and prior tire/lube experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous tire and lube technician experience preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of tire install/repair and oil change procedures.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire rotations, installations, and repairs with precision and efficiency.
• Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks for optimal vehicle performance.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and identify potential issues or safety concerns.
• Conduct wheel alignments and balance tires to promote even tread wear and stability.
• Maintain accurate service records including parts used and time spent.
• Assist customers with tire recommendations and provide outstanding service.

Compensation:

-Starting at $16/hr + Commission (negotiable based on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Perform tire rotations, installations, and repairs with precision and efficiency
• Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks to ensure optimal vehicle performance
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and identify any potential issues or safety concerns
• Conduct wheel alignments and balance tires to promote even tread wear and vehicle stability
• Maintain accurate records of all services performed, including parts used and time spent on each task
• Assist customers with tire recommendations, answering inquiries, and providing outstanding customer service
• Adhere to company safety protocols and guidelines while working in a shop environment

Requirements:

• must be over the age of 18
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a tire and lube technician or similar role preferred
• Proficient knowledge of tire installation, repair techniques, and oil change procedures
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to operate shop equipment and tools safely

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision
